Damages Done to our Country

pic_giant_102913_SM_The-President-Who-Has-Done-the-Most-DamageTo those of us who understand the great damage Obama has done, and continues to do to our great country, the following article by Dennis Prager comes as no surprise. My hope is that moderate Democrats can see that the man who promised hope and change has led them down a rabbit hole of betrayal and lies.

Obama gives very sincere-sounding speeches. No one can deny that he’s very good at that. Unfortunately for Americans, his far left agenda trumps telling the truth. It trumps any concerns about the citizens who are hurt by his ideology. His utopian ideas will only accomplish bringing the middle class down to the level of the poor. The wealthy will still have wealth and power. Look at the politicians in D.C.  How many of them are among the wealthy class? Do you really think they are going to give up their life style in order to be equal with the rest of us? Not likely.

Let’s read Dennis Prager’s article.

I have been broadcasting for 31 years and writing for longer than that. I do not recall ever saying on radio or in print that a president is doing lasting damage to our country. I did not like the presidencies of Jimmy Carter (the last Democrat I voted for) or Bill Clinton. Nor did I care for the “compassionate conservatism” of George W. Bush. In modern political parlance “compassionate” is a euphemism for ever-expanding government.

But I have never written or broadcast that our country was being seriously damaged by a president. So it is with great sadness that I write that President Barack Obama has done and continues to do major damage to America. The only question is whether this can ever be undone.

This is equally true domestically and internationally.

Domestically, his policies have had a grave impact on the American economy.

He has overseen the weakest recovery from a recession in modern American history. He has mired the country in unprecedented levels of debt: about $6.5 trillion — that is 6,500 billion — in five years (this after calling his predecessor “unpatriotic” for adding nearly $5 trillion in eight years).

He has fashioned a country in which more Americans now receive government aid — means-tested, let alone non-means-tested — than work full-time.

He has no method of paying for this debt other than printing more money — thereby surreptitiously taxing everyone through inflation, including the poor he claims to be helping, and cheapening the dollar to the point that some countries are talking about another reserve currency — and saddling the next generations with enormous debts.

With his 2,500-page Affordable Care Act he has made it impossible for hundreds of thousands, soon millions, of Americans to keep their individual or employer-sponsored group health insurance; he has stymied American medical innovation with an utterly destructive tax on medical devices; and he has caused hundreds of thousands of workers to lose full-time jobs because of the health-care costs imposed by Obamacare on employers.

His Internal Revenue Service used its unparalleled power to stymie political dissent. No one has been held accountable.

His ambassador to Libya and three other Americans were murdered by terrorists in Benghazi, Libya. No one has been blamed. The only blame the Obama administration has leveled was on a videomaker in California who had nothing to do with the assault.

In this president’s White House the buck stops nowhere.

Among presidents in modern American history, he has also been a uniquely divisive force. It began with his forcing Obamacare through Congress — the only major legislation in American history to be passed with no votes from the opposition party.

Though he has had a unique opportunity to do so, he has not only not helped heal racial tensions, he has exacerbated them. His intrusions into the Trayvon Martin affair (“If I had a son, he’d look like Trayvon”) and into the confrontation between a white police officer and a black Harvard professor (the police “acted stupidly”) were unwarranted, irresponsible, demagogic, and, most of all, divisive.

He should have been reassuring black Americans that America is in fact the least racist country in the world — something he should know as well as anybody, having been raised only by whites and being the first black elected the leader of a white-majority nation. Instead, he echoed the inflammatory speech of professional race-baiters such as Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson.

He has also divided the country by economic class, using classic Marxist language against “the rich” and “corporate profits.”

Regarding America in the world, he has been, if possible, even more damaging. The United States is at its weakest, has fewer allies, and has less military and diplomatic influence than at any time since before World War II.

One wonders if there is a remaining ally nation that trusts him. And worse, no American enemy fears him. If you are a free movement (the democratic Iranian and Syrian oppositions) or a free country (Israel), you have little or no reason to believe that you have a steadfast ally in the United States.

Even non-democratic allies no longer trust America. Barack Obama has alienated our most important and longest standing Arab allies, Egypt and Saudi Arabia. Both the anti–Muslim Brotherhood and the anti-Iran Arab states have lost respect for him.

And his complete withdrawal of American troops from Iraq has left that country with weekly bloodbaths.

Virtually nothing Barack Obama has done has left America or the world better since he became president. Nearly everything he has touched has been made worse.

He did, however, promise before the 2008 election that “We are five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America.” That is the one promise he has kept.

Racism Responsible for Obama’s Failed Policies

We all know that our President likes to blame everyone and everything else for his problems. I mean, for the first four years of his presidency it was all Bush’s fault. Then it was the GOP House. Then his story was “I don’t know anything.” “I didn’t hear about it until you did.”

Now that his approval ratings are in the dumpster, he has put voice to what was probably in his mind all along–racism. Yes, the old, tattered race card has now popped up as the fault for all of Obama’s failed policies. It’s all because of his skin color. Yep, those of us who disagree with his policies are now being deemed racists by our president. How’s that for bringing the country together?

Is anyone else tired of that word and accusation? I, for one, think the word has lost its power to hurt. It has been so overused that it’s almost irrelevant. You hear it and think, oh that old thing again. I do think, however, that those on the left are afraid of it. It terrifies them that they might be called a racist. That fear is why they throw the race card down at every opportunity, thinking that others are as scared of it as they are. Personally, I think that accusation should have been saved for serious breakdowns in racial relations. There is a place for it in society, but not for every stubbed toe.

Here is a blog by Mike Miller on Independent Journal Review. I think it states the issue of Obama’s newest “fall guy” very well.

President Obama has taken a big hit to his approval ratings after being awarded Politifact’s “Lie of the Year” for misleading Americans on “keeping your plan” under ObamaCare. But now he’s pulling a familiar card. You got it – the race card.

In an interview with The New Yorker, Obama addressed his falling job-approval ratings:

There’s no doubt that there’s some folks who just really dislike me because they don’t like the idea of a black President.”

Anyway, he then seemed to contradict himself [what a shock]:

“Now, the flip side of it is, there are some black folks and maybe some white folks who really like me and give me the benefit of the doubt precisely because I’m a black President.”

Okay, Mr. President, I’m confused. Do the people who “really dislike you” because you’re “black” also “really dislike” Clarence Thomas, Herman Cain, Allen West and Dr. Ben Carson because they’re black? Conversely, do the people who “really like” them do so because they give them the “benefit of the doubt” because they’re black?

Obama has always been more popular than his policies; that is, until recently. He was elected – and reelected – with support from millions of white Americans. The majority of (white) Americans did give him the benefit of the doubt – many of them, precisely because he was America’s first black president, but his policies and results have proved otherwise.

I’m going to go out on a limb, here, and suggest that none of the above has anything to do with the color of Obama’s skin – nor that of any of the other people to whom I referred. It does, however, have everything to do with their respective policies, proposals, ideology and track records. Think about it, America.

TPP: Obama’s Secret Deal to Sell America Out

Have you heard of the TPP–Trans Pacific Partnership? If not, you are not alone. According to Wikileaks, Obama is in secret talks with large global corporations to sell America out. This is just further proof that the man in the White House is not who his followers think he is.

Watch and listen:

Obama’s “Ignoring Laws” Could Lead to Overthrow of Government

The idea of overthrowing the United States government is something none of us wants to contemplate. It would mean another civil war on our soil. Brother and sister against brother and sister. Mothers and Fathers against sons and daughters.

Unfortunately, Barack Obama has decided he is not only above the law of the land, but, also, that Constitutional laws are meaningless to him. The president does not have the Constitutional authority to change laws, but Obama has changed the Affordable Care Act many times since its passage by congress.

He has defied court orders by refusing to turn over requested information on other matters. He has promised to “get to the bottom of” all the scandals surrounding his administration, but nothing ever gets done. His transparent administration is, now, limiting access by the media. He is producing his own photos for the media to publish.

During a congressional committee hearing about the constitutional limits imposed on the presidency and the implications of President Barack Obama’s disregard for implementing the Affordable Care Act as written, one expert testified that the consequences of the president’s behavior were potentially grave. He said that the precedent set by Obama could eventually lead to an armed revolt against the federal government.

On Tuesday, Michael Cannon, Cato Institute’s Director of Health Policy Studies, testified before a congressional committee about the dangers of the president’s legal behavior.

Is Barack Obama the Weakest President in History?

It would appear, at this point, that Barack Obama will go down in history as a weak, ineffectual president.  As a leader of the free world, he is useless.  He does nothing, knows nothing, lies repeatedly and some people are still foolish enough to believe anything he says, promises to look into all the scandals, but doesn’t.  He cannot make a decision.  I don’t know who is running the country behind the scenes, but I don’t think it is Barack Obama.

Obama is not respected by other countries.  The words of Anna Pukas of the UK Express tell a story of how, in March of 2011, the world looked at the USA–our once proud country. I can just imagine what her words might be now.   Obama’s foreign policy, if he has one, is a sad mess.

Here is an excellent blog by Joe Newby of Examiner.com, dated March 18, 2011.  Sometimes it’s good to go back and read what the American people were not being told by our media, and see how it mirrors what is going on now.

An article in a British news outlet asks: “Is Obama the weakest President in History?”

Anna Pukas writes at the UK Express:

INEFFECTUAL, invisible, unable to honour pledges and now blamed for letting Gaddafi off the hook. Why Obama’s gone from ‘Yes we can’ to ‘Er, maybe we shouldn’t’…

Pukas reminds readers of the euphoria felt by many on the left when Obama, the “son of a Kenyan goatherd” was elected to be America’s first African-American President. Liberals across the country swooned as though it was the second coming of the Messiah. Giddy from the election, some thought their days of working were over and the new President would pay their mortgage and put gas in their car.

She also reminds us of his simple slogan, “Yes we can,” but immediately notes:

His presidency, however, is turning out to be more about “no we won’t.” Even more worryingly, it seems to be very much about: “Maybe we can… do what, exactly?“ The world feels like a dangerous place when leaders are seen to lack certitude but the only thing President Obama seems decisive about is his indecision. What should the US do about Libya? What should the US do about the Middle East in general? What about the country’s crippling debts? What is the US going to do about Afghanistan, about Iran?

Pukas’ questions are direct and to the point. They also happen to be the same questions asked by many here in the U.S.

She spends much of her article on the obvious indecision displayed by Obama on the issue of Libya, but his inability to lead has been apparent to many conservatives since the very beginning.

One thing Obama is good at, though, is campaigning – and going on vacation. He seems to spend a lot of time playing golf, and there’s always NCAA brackets to be chosen. Those are, after all, far more important issues than bloodshed in Libya.

She writes:

It is also true that the President is constantly stymied by a hostile, Republican-ruled Congress. But Obama’s apparent reluctance to engage with momentous events is starting to look like more than aloofness. Some tempering of America’s role as the world’s No1 busybody may be no bad thing but under Obama the US appears to be heading towards isolationism. He is hardly doing much better at home. Economically, the US is in big trouble but the national debt is not shrinking.

Perhaps Ms. Pukas doesn’t realize that for the first two years of Obama’s term, he had a solid majority in both the House and the Senate and the GOP has only been the majority in the House for 3 months. He still has a majority in the Senate, however, a number of Democrats are concerned about their re-election in 2012.

She also seems to forget that the “world’s No 1 busybody” is the same nation that led the fight against Nazism and Japanese imperialism and the same nation that stood firm against the expansion of Soviet Communism. Obama is not leading the nation to isolationism, as she puts it, but rather leading the nation to a status just slightly above a banana republic.

She continues:

Yes we can was a noble and powerful mantra which secured for Barack Obama the leadership of

the free world.

That, and hatred of George W. Bush along with a sympathetic – no, adoring – media complex that did everything it could to ensure his election, while trashing Republican VP Candidate Sarah Palin in the most despicable way imaginable.

Pukas concludes by writing:

Those than can, do. It is time he started doing.

This is a sentiment most of us can agree upon. The problem, however, is that Obama has never held any executive position in his life, nor has he ever served a day in uniform. His resume is that of a radical political agitator, and he is very good at that.

The sad reality is that Americans have elected the most inexperienced, radical, left wing ideologue as President.

On practically every issue, except health care, he has dithered, flipped, flopped, and fiddled. When the going get tough, he gets going – to Rio, Hawaii, the golf course, or wherever First Lady Michelle wants to go.

In short, the world is burning while President Obama fiddles.

Obama Pressuring Insurance Companies to Keep Quiet

This is a bombshell of a scandal. Obama is pressuring private insurance companies to keep quiet about Obamacare problems. People, do you understand what that means? Totalitarianism! Obama is a tyrant, who is overstepping the boundaries of his position as president.

Think about the ramifications here. If he is willing to “lean” on private businesses to do his bidding, what can we expect from the Affordable Care Act? What pressure is he willing to put on doctors? What kind of care are we going to receive? Who will decide whether we need surgery or not? Who will decide whether we live or die?

Everyone should be aware of this, and be concerned about it. It’s time to let Obama know that he cannot lie to us any longer without consequences.

Arrest Republican Leaders for Treason?

This is my opinion, formed from my experience.

Again, I am left stunned and shaking my head in disbelief at the propaganda machine that is MoveOn.Org.  I checked out this site once…just once…and I was appalled at the fact that they were teaching liberal trolls how to comment on Conservative blogs and websites.  Since then I have tried to put them out of my mind.  Like a bad penny, however, they are back.

The far-left liberal progressive MoveOn.Org is now pushing a petition to arrest Republican leaders for sedition over the government shutdown.  The last count I heard was that 30,000 misguided people had signed this petition.  Unbelievable!

Alan Dershowitz, a well-known, and admittedly liberal, Harvard Professor said on The Kelly Files that MoveOn.Org was a radical far-left group that was as bad as some of the far-right groups.  He doesn’t like the far reaches on either side.  He is, according to his own description, a moderate liberal, who likes moderate conservatives.  I thought it was significant, though, that a liberal called MoveOn.Org a radical group.

So, let me get this straight.  We have numerous scandals surrounding Obama and Holder:  Fast and Furious, Benghazi, IRS, NSA, etc.  But these radicals are demanding Republicans be tried for treason because they were exercising the constitutional job of the House, which is to control expenditures for the government.   These leaders were, also, doing what they were elected to do.

I have to wonder about people who choose to ignore scandals that have damaged our country, have targeted political groups who are in opposition to Obama, have seen 4 American citizens killed in Benghazi with no attempt to help them, have proven that we have no privacy, have shown our president to be a weak leader, and have shown Holder to have armed drug cartels in Mexico, who actually used those arms to kill a border guard.  And these same people sign a petition to arrest and try House Republicans?  Again, unbelievable!
