The Arrogance of Power

America is in trouble. We need jobs. We need to bring back manufacturing. We need to stop the taxes and regulations that are driving jobs out of the country. We need to stop illegal immigration that is flooding the country with unskilled labor, taking jobs away from young people. This is what the American people are concerned about. According to exit polls, the economy was the number one concern of voters across the country.

So, what does our president do as soon as the election is over? He threatens to take executive action on illegal immigration. He wants to give 5 million illegals a path to citizenship. That’s a lot of jobs we don’t have, and a lot of people to support. Shouldn’t the American people expect more from their president? Shouldn’t we expect that an elected official, in this case the president of the United States, listen to the American people? And the big question…shouldn’t we expect our president to put American citizens and interests first?

Sadly, the answer is all too obvious. Obama has never been the president of the “United” States of America. He has made it his job to rip us apart in every way possible. He made it his job to try to destroy the Republican party by constantly playing the blame game. He made it his job to make sure Harry Reid didn’t put the 360 House Republican bills to a vote in the Senate, thereby, denying Republican voters representation. Now, he is making it his job to bypass Congress.

He has traveled the country and the world sniping at Republicans, the GOP, the Tea Party, Fox News, and anyone who doesn’t agree with his agenda. He has bullied, threatened, whined, thrown temper tantrums, vacationed and golfed.

He has played the race card more than once, getting involved and speaking out when he should have waited for the details to come out. This president, our first black president (he is half white, but doesn’t acknowledge that fact), could have accomplished so much to bring the country together in regards to race relations. He could have guided African Americans toward better skills for building a good life. But, instead, he made matters worse. He forgets that he is supposed to be president over the entire country, not just those that will vote for him.

I wanted to give him the benefit after the election, but every time I try to do that, he proves himself unworthy. He’s in a snit because the Democrats lost power, so he’s going to pull this stunt. It’s a power play that’s pure political posturing. President Obama you’ve had 6 years to pass immigration reform. You had control of the house and the senate for your first two years, and you didn’t do anything about immigration reform. You are thumbing your nose at the American people by taking this action at this time. Shame on you.

These are my thoughts. I don’t ask anyone to agree with me. My frustration with this president and this administration is beyond exasperating.

What if 20 Million Illegal Immigrants Left America?

262746_785840504795524_5233912402757470797_n

I saw this post on Facebook today and although I have not verified all of the figures, I’m presenting it for your information. I would venture to say it’s pretty much right on. Think of the jobs that would open up for American citizens.

What if the illegals left?

Somebody really did their homework on this one. Best on the subject to present date.

What if 20 Million Illegal Aliens Vacated America?

I, Tina Griego, journalist for the Denver Rocky Mountain News wrote a column titled, “Mexican Visitor’s Lament.”

I interviewed Mexican journalist Evangelina Hernandez while visiting Denver last week. Hernandez said, “Illegal aliens pay rent, buy groceries, buy clothes. What happens to your country’s economy if 20 million people go away?”

Hmmm, I thought, what would happen?

So I did my due diligence, buried my nose as a reporter into the FACTS I found below.

It’s a good question… it deserves an honest answer. Over 80% of Americans demand secured borders and illegal migration stopped. But what would happen if all 20 million or more vacated America? The answers I found may surprise you!

In California, if 3.5 million illegal aliens moved back to Mexico, it would leave an extra $10.2 billion to spend on overloaded school systems, bankrupt hospitals and overrun prisons. It would leave highways cleaner, safer and less congested. Everyone could understand one another as English became the dominant language again.

In Colorado, 500,000 illegal migrants, plus their 300,000 kids and grandchilds would move back “home,” mostly to Mexico. That would save Colorado an estimated $2 billion (other experts say $7 billion) annually in taxes that pay for schooling, medical, social-services and incarceration costs. It means 12,000 gang members would vanish out of Denver alone.

Colorado would save more than $20 million in prison costs, and the terror that those 7,300 alien criminals set upon local citizens. Denver Officer Don Young and hundreds of Colorado victims would not have suffered death, accidents, rapes and other crimes by illegals.

Denver Public Schools would not suffer a 67% dropout/flunk rate because of thousands of illegal alien students speaking 41 different languages. At least 200,000 vehicles would vanish from our gridlocked cities in Colorado. Denver’s 4% unem ployment rate would vanish as our working poor would gain jobs at a living wage.

In Florida, 1.5 million illegals would return the Sunshine State back to America, the rule of law, and English.

In Chicago, Illinois, 2.1 million illegals would free up hospitals, schools, prisons and highways for a safer, cleaner and more crime-free experience.

If 20 million illegal aliens returned ‘home,’ the U.S. Economy would return to the rule of law. Employers would hire legal American citizens at a living wage. Everyone would pay their fair share of taxes because they wouldn’t be working off the books. That would result in an additional $401 billion in IRS income taxes collected annually, and an equal amount for local, state and city coffers.

No more push ‘1’ for Spanish or ‘2’ for English. No more confusion in American schools that now must contend with over 100 languages that degrade the educational system for American kids. Our overcrowded schools would lose more than two million illegal alien kids at a cost of billions in ESL and free breakfasts and lunches.

We would lose 500,000 illegal criminal alien inmates at a cost of more than $1.6 billion annually. That includes 15,000 MS-13 gang members who distribute $130 billion in drugs annually would vacate our country.

In cities like L.A., 20,000 members of the ’18th Street Gang’ would vanish from our nation. No more Mexican forgery gangs for ID theft from Americans! No more foreign rapists and child molesters!

Losing more than 20 million people would clear up our crowded highways and gridlock. Cleaner air and less drinking and driving American deaths by illegal aliens!

America’s economy is drained. Taxpayers are harmed. Employers get rich. Over $80 billion annually wouldn’t return to the aliens’ home countries by cash transfers. Illegal migrants earned half that money untaxed, which further drains America ‘s economy which currently suffers an $8.7 trillion debt. $8.7 trillion debt!!!

At least 400,000 anchor babies would not be born in our country, costing us $109 billion per year per cycle. At least 86 hospitals in California, Georgia and Florida would still be operating instead of being bankrupt out of existence because illegals pay nothing via the EMTOLA Act. Americans wouldn’t suffer thousands of TB and hepatitis cases rampant in our country – brought in by illegals unscreened at our borders.

Our cities would see 20 million less people driving, polluting and grid locking our cities. It would also put the ‘progressives’ on the horns of a dilemma; illegal aliens and their families cause 11% of our greenhouse gases.

Over one million of Mexico’s poorest citizens now live inside and along our border from Brownsville, Texas, to San Diego, California, in what the New York Times called, ‘colonias’ or new neighborhoods. Trouble is, those living areas resemble Bombay and Calcutta where grinding poverty, filth, diseases, drugs, crimes, no sanitation and worse. They live without sewage, clean water, streets, roads, electricity, or any kind of sanitation.

The New York Times reported them to be America’s new ‘Third World’ inside our own country. Within 20 years, at their current growth rate, they expect 20 million residents of those colonials. (I’ve seen them personally in Texas and Arizona; it’s sickening beyond anything you can imagine.)

By enforcing our laws, we could repatriate them back to Mexico. We should invite 20 million aliens to go home, fix their own countries and/or make a better life in Mexico. We already invite a million people into our country legally annually, more than all other countries combined. We cannot and must not allow anarchy at our borders, more anarchy within our borders and growing lawlessness at every level in our nation.

It’s time to stand up for our country, our culture, our civilization and our way of life.

Interesting Statistics!

Here are 14 reasons illegal aliens should vacate America, and I hope they are forwarded over and over again until they are read so many times that the reader gets sick of reading them:

1. $14 billion to $22 billion dollars are spent each year on welfare to illegal aliens (that’s Billion with a ‘B’)

3. $7.5 billion dollars are spent each year on Medicaid for illegal aliens.

4. $12 billion dollars are spent each year on primary and secondary school education for children here illegally and they still cannot speak a word of English!

5. $27 billion dollars are spent each year for education for the American-born children of illegal aliens, known as anchor babies.

6. $3 Million Dollars ‘PER DAY’ is spent to incarcerate illegal aliens. That’s $1.2 Billion a year.

7. 28% percent of all federal prison inmates are illegal aliens.

8. $190 billion dollars are spent each year on illegal aliens for welfare & social services by the American taxpayers.

9. $200 billion dollars per year in suppressed American wages are caused by the illegal aliens.

10. The illegal aliens in the United States have a crime rate that’s two and a half times that of white non-illegal aliens. In particular, their children, are going to make a huge additional crime problem in t he US.

11. During the year 2005, there were 8 to 10 MILLION illegal aliens that crossed our southern border with as many as 19,500 illegal aliens from other terrorist countries. Over 10,000 of those were middle-eastern terrorists. Millions of pounds of drugs, cocaine, meth, heroin, crack, guns, and marijuana crossed into the U.S. from the southern border.

12. The National Policy Institute, estimates that the total cost of mass deportation would be between $206 and $230 billion, or an average cost of between $41 and $46 billion annually over a five year period.

13. In 2006, illegal aliens sent home $65 BILLION in remittances back to their countries of origin, to their families and friends.

14. The dark side of illegal immigration: Nearly one million sex crimes are committed by illegal immigrants in the United States!

Total cost a whopping $538.3 BILLION DOLLARS A YEAR !

Warning to Border Patrol re Communicable Diseases

FirefoxScreenSnapz002I saw this DML Daily article today and wanted to share the information. I have not been able to confirm that the memo is real, but it certainly seems like logical steps to take.

A MEMO TO THE BORDER PATROL from their union indicates the concern for widespread disease is serious.

Due to the pending arrival of UAC’s (unaccompanied children) from RGV, The National Border Patrol Council Local 1613 is suggesting the following protocols for the safety of our agents as well as the detainees.

1. All Agents should bring a second set of clothes (Including socks and shoes) to the station. Change clothes prior to going home so that you can minimize the chances of infecting any of your family or friends.

a. We will be looking into getting coveralls or some other form of outer clothing for agents.
b. We will also be looking for a way to launder your clothing so that you don’t have to take it home.
c. Place clothing in a plastic trash bag and take directly from the bag to the washing machine.
d. If possible we recommend showering at the station after each shift before going home.

2. All agents should get tested for TB in order to ensure you have a baseline.
a. We will be working with the agency to get occupational health out to provide testing.
b. In the meantime go to your personal health care provider and get TB test done.

3. Agents should refrain from touching their nose, mouth or eyes when processing.

4. All bedding and clothing should be handled with protective equipment (gloves) and placed in specifically designed containers (i.e. plastic bag) and laundered ASAP.

5. Gloves should be worn at all times and changed frequently. Hand sanitizer should be used between changing gloves.

6. Educational material will be distributed in order to assist agents with the identification of communicable diseases.

7. Cells should be disinfected regularly.

8. All detainees who are suspected or report having communicable disease will be documented and reported to a supervisor as soon as possible.

9. All detainees should be given vaccinations before being released into the communities.

10. If there are any supplies you believe you need and the service has not provided contact the local union health and safety officer and we will look into purchasing those items directly.

11. If you have any concerns please contact your local health and safety officer and we will address the issue and get back to you ASAP.

Immigrants to Replace American Citizens in Job Market

Senator Sessions spoke on the floor on September 20, 2013 about the need to create an immigration system that upholds the rule of law and serves the national interest. You have to listen to this video of a portion of his speech to understand that some CEO’s are laying off American citizens, and then lobbying Congress for immigration “carve-outs” to get new workers. In other words, American citizens will be out of a job, while immigrants are hired to fill the positions.

This is insulting. It makes me angry. Sadly, it shows how very little some of our own people care about the future of the United States of America.

Immigration: Attitude Counts

Immigrants built this great country.  Immigrants who sacrificed everything to come to a new land; to have the opportunity to build a new life for their families.  These families assimilated into their new country, and made it their own.  Were there problems among the different groups of people?  History tells us “yes.”  Did early immigrants settle into enclaves of “like” people?  Many of  them did.  Think of Chinatown, Little Italy, Little Germany, etc.  People of different cultures and backgrounds are always going to have problems co-existing.  But, history, also, shows us that they worked through their difficulties and came together as one proud nation that fought together in WWII to overcome Hitler, Mussolini, and the Emperor of Japan.

To those of us who are citizens, and love our country, today’s immigrant is a different breed.  Many of them, and I’m not implying all immigrants, don’t respect our laws or our people.  This is where the problems arise.  It’s not racism.  It’s not isolationism.  Plain and simple, in my opinion, it’s weariness.  We are tired of the demands of people who come here from other countries.  We are tired of these immigrants, who come here for an opportunity, but then want to turn our country into one just like the one they left.

And, we are so very tired of immigration activists not being able to separate legal immigration from illegal immigration.  That is insulting!  I listen to them on TV, and just shake my head.  Statistics show that the US allows 1,000,000 legal immigrants into our country each year.  To any reasonable person, that seems like a lot of people.  But to immigration activists, that number is not to be appreciated.  No, we are vilified for our stand against illegal immigrants–now undocumented immigrants.  I think if we were respected for our feelings and opinions, the discussion on immigration reform could progress more effectively.

Below is a “letter to the editor,” never published, of course, from a private citizen in reply to a man who suggested that the Statue of Liberty be torn down.

http://www.snopes.com/politics/immigration/newimmigrants.asp

From:
“David LaBonte”

My wife, Rosemary, wrote a wonderful letter to the editor of the OC Register which, of course, was not printed. So, I decided to “print” it myself by sending it out on the Internet. Pass it along if you feel so inclined. Written in response to a series of letters to the editor in the Orange County Register:

Dear Editor:

So many letter writers have based their arguments on how this land is made up of immigrants. Ernie Lujan for one, suggests we should tear down the Statue of Liberty because the people now in question aren’t being treated the same as those who passed through Ellis Island and other ports of entry.

Maybe we should turn to our history books and point out to people like Mr. Lujan why today’s American is not willing to accept this new kind of immigrant any longer. Back in 1900 when there was a rush from all areas of Europe to come to the United States, people had to get off a ship and stand in a long line in New York and be documented. Some would even get down on their hands and knees and kiss the ground. They made a pledge to uphold the laws and support their new country in good and bad times. They made learning English a primary rule in their new American households and some even changed their names to blend in with their new home.

They had waved good bye to their birth place to give their children a new life and did everything in their power to help their children assimilate into one culture. Nothing was handed to them. No free lunches, no welfare, no labor laws to protect them. All they had were the skills and craftsmanship they had brought with them to trade for a future of prosperity.

Most of their children came of age when World War II broke out. My father fought alongside men whose parents had come straight over from Germany, Italy, France and Japan. None of these 1st generation Americans ever gave any thought about what country their parents had come from. They were Americans fighting Hitler, Mussolini and the Emperor of Japan. They were defending the United States of America as one people.

When we liberated France, no one in those villages “was” looking for the French-American or the German American or the Irish American. The people of France saw only Americans. And we carried one flag that represented one country. Not one of those immigrant sons would have thought about picking up another country’s flag and waving it to represent who they were. It would have been a disgrace to their parents who had sacrificed so much to be here. These immigrants truly knew what it meant to be an American. They stirred the melting pot into one red, white and blue bowl.

And here we are with a new kind of immigrant who wants the same rights and privileges. Only they want to achieve it by playing with a different set of rules, one that includes the entitlement card and a guarantee of being faithful to their mother country. I’m sorry, that’s not what being an American is all about. I believe that the immigrants who landed on Ellis Island in the early 1900’s deserve better than that for all the toil, hard work and sacrifice in raising future generations to create a land that has become a beacon for those legally searching for a better life. I think they would be appalled that they are being used as an example by those waving foreign country flags.

And for that suggestion about taking down the Statue of Liberty, it happens to mean a lot to the citizens who are voting on the immigration bill. I wouldn’t start talking about dismantling the United States just yet.
