Radical Racialization

The left has long been plying the black community with a form of radical racialization. A new Tea Party campaign is targeting the claim that the Democrats are the party that has the good of blacks at heart. As written by Ky Sisson in Townhall.com:

Last week at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial in Washington D.C., TheTeaParty.net‘s Niger Innis, along side civil rights activist Dr. Alveda King, kicked off the campaign. Later, he and others traveled to New York City, Raleigh, North Carolina, and they concluded the tour in Ferguson, Missouri.

The Restore the Dream campaign wants to energize the African-American community to “embrace liberty, individual freedom, free markets and school-choice education,” something they believe the Obama administration has hindered.

“Hope and change liberals have failed the black community,” said Innis.

New statistics help backup Innis’ belief that “the sad state of affairs didn’t come to fruition under one President, but tragically under a Presidency that promised so much; the situation in these communities has gotten much worse.”

The stats include:

  • Only 52% of African-American males graduate from high school in four years.
  • Unemployment rate among African-Americans is 11.5%. That’s twice the national average.
  • The poverty rate for African-Americans has increased sharply since 2008, rising from 12% to 16.1%.
  • The average income for African-Americans is $20,000 less than the national average.
  • African-American home ownership is 21% less than the rest of the country.
  • According to the 2013 National Report Card, the gap in fourth-grade math test scores between black and white students has widened to 40 points — the largest gap since the national study began in 2003.

Innis appeared on several news programs in New York, met with local pastors and other clergy in Raleigh, and met with Ferguson’s mayor, James Knowles, Police Chief Thomas Jackson, and State Senator Marie Chappelle-Nadal.

“All meetings were appreciative of ‘Restore the Dream’s’ involvement and felt there was a role ‘Restore the Dream’ could bring about in what they all want regardless of the political persuasion, which is peace and racial reconciliation,” said Innis.

He is passionate about refuting the “radical racialization” of the left and their combative rhetoric towards racial issues. Innis shared the example of a political flyer put out by the Democratic party in Georgia that implies voting Democrat this November prevents another Ferguson. Last August, 18-year-old Michael Brown, was shot and killed by Ferguson Police officer, Darren Wilson.

“They are exploiting the death of Michael Brown in a crass and devilish way,” said Innis. “That is the kind of vicious racialization that we want to combat and one of the things we said throughout our journey is that you have to get passed the racial symbolism and ask the question, ‘how is the black community doing after 6 years of hope and change?'”

Innis is confident that the success of the tour and ongoing campaign will ensure many more “Restore the Dream” tours to come.

Its The Economy Stupid – How Messed Up is the US Economy

Excerpts from a thorough article about the “state of the US economy”….

19 Very Surprising Facts About The Messed Up State Of The U.S. Economy

#1 After accounting for inflation, median household income in the United States is 8 percent lower than it was when the last recession started in 2007.

#2 The number of part-time workers in America has increased by 54 percent since the last recession began in December 2007.  Meanwhile, the number of full-time jobs has dropped by more than a million over that same time period.

#3 More than 7 million Americans that are currently working part-time jobs would actually like to have full-time jobs.

#4 The jobs gained during this “recovery” pay an average of 23 percent less than the jobs that were lost during the last recession.

#5 The number of unemployed workers that have completely given up looking for work is twice as high now as it was when the last recession began in December 2007.

#6 When the last recession began, about 17 percent of all unemployed workers had been out of work for six months or longer.  Today, that number sits at just above 34 percent.

#7 Due to a lack of decent jobs, half of all college graduates are still relying on their parents financially when they are two years out of school.

#8 According to a new method of calculating poverty devised by the U.S. Census Bureau, the state of California currently has a poverty rate of23.4 percent.

#9 According to the New York Times, the “typical American household” is now worth 36 percent less than it was worth a decade ago.

#10 In 2007, the average household in the top 5 percent had 16.5 times as much wealth as the average household overall.  But now the average household in the top 5 percent has 24 times as much wealth as the average household overall.

#11 In an absolutely stunning development, the rate of small business ownership in the United States has plunged to an all-time low.

#12 Subprime loans now make up 31 percent of all auto loans in America.  Didn’t that end up really badly when the housing industry tried the same thing?

#13 The average cost of producing a barrel of shale oil in the United States is approximately 85 dollars.  Now that the price of oil is starting to slip under that number, the “shale boom” in America could turn into a bust very rapidly.

#14 On a purchasing power basis, China now actually has a larger economy than the United States does.

#15 It is hard to believe, but there are 49 million people that are dealing with food insecurity in America today.

#16 There are six banks in the United States that pretty much everyone agrees fit into the “too big to fail” category.  Five of them have more than 40 trillion dollars of exposure to derivatives.

#17 The 113 top earning employees at the Federal Reserve headquarters in Washington D.C. make an average of $246,506 a year.  It turns out that ruining the U.S. economy is a very lucrative profession.

#18 We are told that the federal deficit is under control, but the truth is that the U.S. national debt increased by more than a trillion dollarsduring fiscal year 2014.

#19 An astounding 40 million dollars has been spent just on vacations for Barack Obama and his family.  Perhaps he figures that if we are going down as a nation anyway, he might as well enjoy the ride.

Heritage Report – Obamacare Enrollment Increase From Medicaid Expansion

Obama brags that Obamaare is working well. Hmmm – if you’d like the nitty gritty on some parts of the so called “Affordable Care Act”, check out this report…

Abstract

Health insurance enrollment data show that the number of Americans with private health insurance coverage increased by a bit less than 2.5 million in the first half of 2014. While enrollment in individual market coverage grew by almost 6.3 million, 61 percent of that gain was offset by a reduction of nearly 3.8 million individuals with employer-sponsored coverage. During the same period, Medicaid enrollment increased by almost 6.1 million—principally as a result of Obamacare expanding eligibility to able-bodied, working-age adults. Consequently, 71 percent of the combined increase in health insurance coverage during the first half of 2014 was attributable to 25 states and the District of Columbia adopting the Obamacare Medicaid expansion.

Millenials – Do They Understand Current Events

I feel old saying this — but I see many millenials and I get really concerned about our country. The current administration worries me enough, but at some point they will be “out of power” and our young people will be running for office and making decisions that impact all our lives.

But once in a while I see something but a young person that really gives me hope. This short piece is one of those things that gave me hope lately. We need more people – of all ages – that “get it”. And far less of the other folks in office.

I hope you enjoy this as much as I did –

My heart has been so heavy for our generation lately. And I ended up writing a paper about it for an assignment and I wanted to share it with you guys! Selfie, hashtag, yolo, twerk. These are four of the most pointless and useless words I can’t go a day without hearing. These four meaningless words have consumed our daily lives. God sent us here for a purpose! Do you really think our purpose is to get more than 20 likes on an Instagram picture or have that cute guy DM you on twitter. We care more about getting likes than we care about sharing the love of God. I’m guilty of turning on the tv the second I get home but yet we can turn my head when I see someone being bullied or someone sitting alone or someone hurting. We act like our lives are in this little bubble and we try to use that bubble to block out all the things we don’t want to deal with. We live in a world where we value our material possessions instead of asking the question if what were doing is right instead we ask the question does it make us happy. And sometimes we think if it makes us happy then it must be right but sometimes satan uses things to make us happy to draw us away from doing what God says is right. Think most of our regrets come from doing things that made us happy at that time even though we knew there was something telling us not to do it. We say we want to change the world but instead all we do is change our status. Posting a Bible verse is good it shows the world that you are a Christian but are you living it or are you using it to change your outward appearance. Funny how the boastful are the people Christ couldn’t stand. Think your posting that Bible verse but what is that doing helping the people that find themselves worthless. I’ve met girls that have stopped eating because they want to look like a certain girl or get into a certain group. I’ve met people that have wanted to die because they think their lives have no purpose. They think that the things we see in vogue or Elle are what we need to look like because those girls are seemingly perfect. And then some guys bully other guys because they don’t have a girl that looks like that or there not using a girl like an idol or an object. Our life and generation has become a circle of using each other and then being used. Our generation abuses our gift of free will. It’s time to make your life purpose more than just having the most followers. You have a voice that needs to be heard! You want to be happy instead of focusing on you focus on not being who the world wants you to be. The best person you can be is the person who can find there inner confidence. And once you find that you’ll realize you don’t need more than 5 likes to seem pretty and you won’t feel the need to subtweet to seem cool. Our generation has the potential to break the stereotype of religion that we break down the walls of judgement and we begin to love each other and love God more than we love ourselves. I challenge you to help me change the world. I will not be a follower in a world that needs a leader.

A Proposal for the LA School District

I was reading an article about the new Superintendant and read some of the comments. Many were racially biased and obnoxious – but one stood out. This former teacher has some interesting ideas that could work in many areas.

What do you think??

As a one time caring, male teacher that cared about education, here is what I suggest for public schools:

  1. (1.) End the federalization of public education. Feds get no more tax dollars–they can’t manage any system efficiently, e.g. public schools are automatic failures.
(2.) Divide LAUSD into multiple smaller, separate and independent school districts.
(3.) All funding by taxpayers is locally derived.
(4.) All school policies and academic programs are locally promulgated and formulated by local individuals that are stakeholders in that system.
(5.) Put a restriction/prohibition against all and any bureaucracy.
(6.) Pay teachers $10,000 more starting salary by pulling out of administrative salaries and top-heavy structure.
(7.) Allow school teachers to exact real discipline and real standards inside the classroom–what I call the front lines of education.
(8.) Return to classical education, e.g. the Trivium.
(9.) Hire a Superintendent that is qualified to lead. Hire a strong male with a background in discipline and a solid educational foundation, strong fundamentals–forget about the Socialist, feel good ideologies.
(10.) Bring back physical education, arts, music, shop classes, trades, vocational hands-on work.
(11.) Let each school raise its own funds and maintain infrastructure; eliminate Communist red tape.
(12.) Teach and practice Natural Rights, which are Constitutionally protected. Make conservative Constitutional knowledge the bedrock of the entire education curriculum.

DO IT. I will fix it and save millions of dollars for you all.

Signing Off, a disgruntled ex-Teacher. Goodbye.

Obamacare Premiums Not Available Until After the Mid Term Election

What do you think? Is it a coincidence that the Obamacare premiums will not be available for the public until November 15th? Initially, It seems the premiums would be announced October 1 – just like it was last year. But this year – with a critical election in November, the decision was made by someone to hold those premiums until after the election.

This was an exchange during a White House press conference about this – notice that question came from an ABC News reporter….

JOHN KARL, ABC NEWS: The enrollment period for Obamacare is going to be beginning Nov. 15. That’s when people will find out how much of a premium increase they face.

JOSH EARNEST, WH: Or decrease.

KARL: Or decrease. Why is it that last year Oct. 1 was the date, and this year its Nov. 15. Why is it that people have to wait until after the election to find out whether they have a premium increase or decrease?

EARNEST: Again, you are a very keen observer of the political process in this country. You should be particularly when there is such an important election coming up. But so many of the important policy decision made in this administration and this White House are made for reasons other than politics. So I would refer you to the Department of Health and Human Services where the deadlines are established.

KARL: Can people be forgiven for thinking this looks like a political move. People will not find out how much they are going to have to pay for their health insurance until after the election, whereas last year they found out on Oct. 1. Doesn’t it seem a little bit convenient that people now have to wait ten or eleven days after the election to find out how much their insurance was going to cost?

This date for the beginning of the enrollment period was something that was established months if not years ago.

KARL Well we knew exactly when this election was going to be all that time.

EARNEST: And it has clearly been circled on your calendar. That is not circled on the calendar of the experts at the Department of Health and Human Services who are working on this.
