Absentee Commander in Chief

President Obama’s PDB briefing book

Most people who keep an eye on current events are aware that Obama seems to be much more concerned about golf, Hollywood events and fundraisers – instead of the actual duties and responsiblities of the Commander in Chief.

This is very obvious in the way his daily briefings and foreign policy are “hit and miss”. Here are some details that show just how bad his “performance” on foreign policy awareness has been and the link to a Government Accountability Office report lays out just how “missing in

Empty Chair at Intel Briefing

Empty Chair at Intel Briefing

action” he has been, when it comes to keeping up with the security concerns for the US.

Let me say that I understand a daily intelligence briefing can be read on his own. BUT with a person who has NO military or intelligence experience, wouldn’t it just make sense to meet with the officials who know what they are talking about?

(I added the red – but the bold type was in the original article.)

President and Commander In Chief Barack Obama missed 6 of 10 daily intelligence briefings

The President of the United States, the most powerful person in the world, receives live, in-person Presidential Daily Briefs (PDB) that allow the Commander-in-Chief the chance for critical followup, feedback, questions, and the challenging of flawed intelligence assumptions.

An alarming report by the Governmental Accountability Institute (GAI) says that, in the 2,079 days (1/20/2009 thru’ 9/29/2014) since he became President and Commander-In-Chief, Barack Obama has attended a total of only 875 PDBs for an overall 42.09% attendance rate.

That means he missed 57.91% or 6 out of every 10 of his daily intelligence briefings.

Even worse, his attendance rate has worsened in his second term (41.26% attendance rate) as president than in his first term (42.43% attendance rate).

Wynton Hall reports for Breitbart, Sept. 29, 2014, that the GAI’s alarming findings come on the heels of Obama’s comments on CBS’s 60 Minutes on Sunday, wherein the president laid the blame for the Islamic State’s (ISIS/ISIL) rapid rise squarely at the feet of his Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, saying:

“I think our head of the intelligence community, Jim Clapper, has acknowledged that I think they underestimated what had been taking place in Syria.”

But Obama’s scapegoating of Clapper is directly contradicted by an Obamanational security staffer who told the Daily Mail, yesterday that the PDBs have contained detailed threat warnings about the Islamic State dating back to before the 2012 presidential election. The unnamed security staffer says, “It’s pretty well-known that the president hasn’t taken in-person intelligence briefings with any regularity since the early days of 2009. He gets them in writing. Unless someone very senior has been shredding the president’s daily briefings and telling him that the dog ate them, highly accurate predictions about ISIL have been showing up in the Oval Office since before the 2012 election.”

Daily Beast’s Eli Lake reports that other members of the Defense establishment are also “flabbergasted” by Obama’s attempt to shift blame. “Either the president doesn’t read the intelligence he’s getting or he’s bullshitting,” a former senior Pentagon official “who worked closely on the threat posed by Sunni jihadists in Syria and Iraq” told the Daily Beast.

This is not the first time questions have been raised about Obama’s lack of engagement and interest in receiving in-person daily intelligence briefings.

On September 10, 2012, the GAI released a similar report showing that Obama had attended less than half (43.8%) of his daily intelligence briefings up to that point. When Washington Post columnist Marc Thiessen mentioned the GAI’s findings in his column, then-White House Press Secretary Jay Carney dubbed the findings “hilarious.”The very next day, U.S. Libyan Ambassador Chris Stevens and three American staff members were murdered in Benghazi. As Breitbart News reported at the time, the White House’s very own presidential calendar revealed Obama had not received his daily intel briefing in the five consecutive days leading up to the Benghazi attacks.

Benjamin Netanyahu’s Speech to

Benjamin Netanyahu speech to the UN Sept 2014

It is so nice to hear a leader that speaks his mind, states the truth – and isn’t afraid to call a spade a spade. Or in some cases, call a terrorist – a terrorist. Today Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu gave a very interesting speech at the United Nations General Assembly. Below you will find the complete transcript from that speech. Wouldn’t you like to see the current President of the United States give a similar speech —

ISRAELI PRIME MINISTER BENJAMIN NETANYAHU DELIVERS REMARKS AT THE 69TH SESSION OF THE UNITED NATIONS GENERAL ASSEMBLY

Distinguished delegates, I come here from Jerusalem to speak on behalf of my people, the people of Israel.  I’ve come here to speak about the dangers we face and about the opportunities we seek.  I’ve come here to expose the brazen lies spoken from this very podium against my country and against the brave soldiers who defend it.

Ladies and gentleman, the people of Israel pray for peace. But our hopes and the world’s hopes for peace are in danger because everywhere we look, militant Islam is on the march.

It’s not militants.  It’s not Islam.  It’s militant Islam. And typically, its first victims are other Muslims, but it spares no one. Christians, Jews, Yazidis, Kurds, no creed, no faith, no exit — no ethnic group is beyond its sights.  And it’s rapidly spreading in every part of the world.

You know the famous American saying, “All politics is local”? For the militant Islamists, all politics is global because their ultimate goal is to dominate the world.

Now, that threat might seem exaggerated to some since it starts out small, like a cancer that attacks a particular part of the body. But left unchecked, the cancer grows, metastasizing over wider and wider areas.  To protect the peace and security of the world, we must remove this cancer before it’s too late.

Last week, many of the countries represented here rightly applauded President Obama for leading the effort to confront ISIS. And yet weeks before, some of these same countries, same countries that now support confronting ISIS opposed Israel for confronting Hamas.

They evidently don’t understand that ISIS and Hamas are branches of the same poisonous tree.  ISIS and Hamas share a fanatical creed, which they both seek to impose well beyond the territory under their control.  Listen to ISIS self-declared caliph, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

This is what he said two months ago.  “A day will soon come when the Muslim will walk everywhere as a master.  The Muslims who caused the world to hear and understand the meaning of terrorism and destroy the idol of democracy.”

Now listen to Khaled Mashal, the leader of Hamas.  He proclaims a similar vision of the future.  “We say this to the west: by Allah, you will be defeated.  Tomorrow our nation will sit on the throne of the world.”

As Hamas’ charter makes clear, Hamas’ immediate goal is to destroy Israel, but Hamas has a broader objective. They also want a caliphate.  Hamas shares the global ambitions of its fellow militant Islamists, and that’s why its supporters wildly cheered in the streets of Gaza as thousands of Americans were murdered in 9/11.

And that’s why its leaders condemned the United States for killing Osama bin Laden, whom they praised as a holy warrior. So when it comes to their ultimate goals, Hamas is ISIS, and ISIS is Hamas. And what they share in common, all militant Islamists share in common.

Boko Haram in Nigeria, Al Shabaab in Somalia, Hezbollah in Lebanon, al Nusra in Syria, the Mahdi Army in Iraq, and the Al Qaida branches in Yemen, Libya, the Philippines, India and elsewhere.  Some are radical Sunnis.  Some are radical Shiites. Some want to restore a pre-Medieval caliphate from the seventh century.  Others want to trigger the apocalyptic return of an Imam from the ninth century.

They operate in different lands.  They target different victims. And they even kill each other in their battle for supremacy, but they all share a fanatic ideology.  They all seek to create ever-expanding enclaves of militant Islam where there is no freedom and no tolerance; where women are treated as cattle; Christians are decimated; and minorities are subjugated, sometimes given the stark choice: convert or die.  For them, anyone can be considered an infidel, including fellow Muslims.

Ladies and gentlemen, militant Islam’s ambition to dominate the world seems mad.  But so, too, did the global ambitions of another fanatic ideology that swept into power eight decades ago.

The Nazis believed in a master race.  The militant Islamists believe in a master faith.  They just disagree who among them will be the master of the master faith.  That’s what they truly disagree about; and therefore, the question before us is whether militant Islam will have the power to realize its unbridled ambitions.

There’s one place where that could soon happen: the Islamic State of Iran.  For 35 years, Iran has relentlessly pursued the global mission, which was set forth by its founding ruler, Ayatollah Khomeini, in these words, ”We will export our revolution to the entire world until the cry, `There is no god but Allah will echo throughout the world over.’“

And ever since, the regime’s brutal enforcers, Iran’s revolutionary guards have done exactly that.  Listen to its current commander, General Mohammad Ali Jafari (ph).  And he clearly stated this goal.  He said, ”Our Imam did not limit the Islamic revolution to this country.  Our duty is to prepare the way for an Islamic world government.“

Iran’s president, Rouhani, stood here last week and shed crocodile tears over what he called the globalization of terrorism.  Maybe he should spare us those phony tears and have a word instead with the commanders of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards.  He could ask them to call off Iran’s global terror campaign, which has included attacks in two dozen countries, on five continents since 2011 alone.

You know, to say that Iran doesn’t practice terrorism is like saying Derek Jeter never played shortstop for the New York Yankees. This is a — this bemoaning by the Iranian president of the spread of terrorism has got to be one of history’s greatest displays of double- talk.

Now, some argue that Iran’s global terror campaign, a subversion of countries throughout the Middle East, and well beyond the Middle East, some argue that this is the work of the extremists.  They say things are changing.  They point to last year’s election in Iran. They claim that Iran’s smooth-talking president and foreign minister, they’ve changed not only the tone of Iran’s foreign policy but also its substance.  They believe Rouhani and Zarif generally want to reconcile with the West, that they’ve abandoned the global mission of the Islamic revolution.

Really?  So, let’s look at what Foreign Minister Zarif wrote in his book just a few years ago.  ”We have a fundamental problem with the West and especially with America.  This is because we are heirs to a global mission which is tied to our raison d’etre.“  ”A global mission which is tied to our very reason for being.“

And then Zarif asks a question, I think an interesting one. He says,  ”How comma Malaysia,“ he’s referring to an overwhelming Muslim country, ”how comma Malaysia doesn’t have similar problems?“

And he answers, ”Because Malaysia is not trying to change the international order.“

That’s your moderate.

So don’t be fooled by Iran’s manipulative charm offensive. It’s designed for one purpose and for one purpose, only, to lift the sanctions and remove the obstacles to Iran’s path to the bomb.

The Islamic Republic is now trying to bamboozle its way to an agreement that will remove the sanctions it still faces and leave it with a capacity of thousands of refugees — of centrifuges, rather — to enrich uranium.  This would effectively cement Iran’s place as a threshold military nuclear power.  And in the future, at the time of its choosing, Iran, the world’s most dangerous regime, in the world’s most dangerous region, would obtain the world’s most dangerous weapons.

Allowing that to happen would pose the gravest threat to us all. It’s one thing to confront militant Islamists on pickup trucks armed with Kalashnikov rifles.  It’s another thing to confront militant Islamists armed with weapons of mass destruction.

I remember that last year, everyone here was rightly concerned about the chemical weapons in Syria, including the possibility that they would fall into the hands of terrorists.  Well, that didn’t happen.

And President Obama deserves great credit for leading the diplomatic effort to dismantle virtually all of Syria’s chemical weapons capability.  Imagine how much more dangerous the Islamic State, ISIS, would be if it possessed chemical weapons.  Now imagine how much more dangerous the Islamic state of Iran would be if it possessed nuclear weapons.

Ladies and gentlemen, would you let ISIS enrich uranium? Would you let ISIS build a heavy-water reactor?  Would you let ISIS develop inter-continental ballistic missiles.  Of course you wouldn’t.  Then you mustn’t let the Islamic state of Iran do those things either, because here’s what’ll happen.

Once Iran produces atomic bombs, all the charms and all the smiles will suddenly disappear.  They’ll just vanish.  And it’s then that the ayatollahs will show their true face and unleash their aggressive fanaticism on the entire world.

There is only one responsible course of action to address this threat.  Iran’s nuclear military capabilities must be fully dismantled.

(APPLAUSE)

Make no mistake, ISIS must be defeated.  But to defeat ISIS and leave Iran as a threshold nuclear power is to win the battle and lose the war.

(APPLAUSE)

To defeat ISIS and leave Iran as a threshold nuclear power is to win the battle and lose the war.  Ladies and gentlemen, the fight against militant Islam is indivisible.  When militant Islam succeeds anywhere, it’s emboldened everywhere.  When it suffers a blow in one place, it’s set back in every place.

That’s why Israel’s fight against Hamas is not just our fight, it’s your fight.  Israel is fighting a fanaticism today that your countries may be forced to fight tomorrow.

For 50 days this past summer, Hamas fired thousands of rockets at Israel, many of them supplied by Iran.  I want you to think about what your countries would do if thousands of rockets were fired at your cities.  Imagine millions of your citizens having seconds at most to scramble to bomb shelters, day after day.  You wouldn’t let terrorists fire rockets at your cities with impunity, nor would you let terrorists dig dozens of terror tunnels under your borders to infiltrate your towns in order to murder and kidnap your citizens.

NETANYAHU:  Israel justly defended itself against both rocket attacks and terror tunnels.

(APPLAUSE)

Yet Israel faced another challenge.  We faced a propaganda war. Because in an attempt to win the world’s sympathy, Hamas cynically used Palestinian civilians as human shields.  It used schools, not just schools, U.N. schools, private homes, mosques, even hospitals to store and fire rockets at Israel.

As Israel surgically struck at the rocket launchers and at the tunnels, Palestinian civilians were tragically, but unintentionally killed.  There are heart-wrenching images that resulted, and these fuelled libelous charges that Israel was deliberately targeting civilians.

We were not.  We deeply regret every single civilian casualties. And the truth is this.  Israel was doing everything to minimize Palestinian civilian casualties.  Hamas was doing everything to maximize Israeli civilian casualties and Palestinian civilian casualties.

Israel dropped flyers, made phone calls, sent text messages, broadcast warnings in Arabic on Palestinian television, all this to enable Palestinian civilians to evacuate targeted areas.  No other country and no other army in history have gone to greater lengths to avoid casualties among the civilian population of their enemies.

(APPLAUSE)

Now, this — concern for Palestinian life was all the more remarkable given that Israeli civilians were being bombarded by rockets day after day, night after night.  And as their families were being rocketed by Hamas, Israel’s citizen army, the brave soldiers of the IDF, our young boys and girls, they upheld the highest moral values of any army in the world.

(APPLAUSE)

Israel’s soldiers deserve not condemnation but admiration, admiration from decent people everywhere.

(APPLAUSE)

Now, here’s what Hamas did.  Here’s what Hamas did.  Hamas embedded its missile batteries in residential areas and told Palestinians to ignore Israel’s warnings to leave.  And just in case people didn’t get the message, they executed Palestinian civilians in Gaza who dared to protest.

And no less reprehensible, Hamas deliberately placed its rockets where Palestinian children live and play.  Let me show you a photograph.  It was taken by a France 24 crew during the recent conflict.  It shows two Hamas rocket launchers, which were used to attack us.  You see three children playing next to them.  Hamas deliberately put its rockets in hundreds of residential areas like this, hundreds of them.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is a war crime.  And I say to President Abbas, these are the crimes, the war crimes, committed by your Hamas partners in the national unity government which you head and you are responsible for.  And these are the real war crimes you should have investigated or spoken out against from this podium last week.

(APPLAUSE)

Ladies and gentlemen, as Israel’s children huddle in bomb shelters and Israel’s Iron Dome missile defense knocked Hamas rockets out of the sky, the profound moral difference between Israel and Hamas couldn’t have been clearer.  Israel was using its missiles to protect its children.  Hamas was using its children to protect its missiles.

(APPLAUSE)

By investigating Israel rather than Hamas for war crimes, the U.N.  Human Rights Council has betrayed its noble mission to protect the innocent.

In fact, what it’s doing is to — to turn the laws of war upside down.  Israel, which took unprecedented steps to minimize civilian casualties, Israel is condemned.  Hamas, which both targeted and hid behind civilians, that’s a double war crime, Hamas is given a pass.

The Human Rights Council is thus sending a clear message to terrorists everywhere:  Use civilians as a human shield.  Use them again and again and again.  And you know why?  Because, sadly, it works.

By granting international legitimacy to the use of human shields, the U.N. Human Rights Council has thus become a terrorist rights council.  And it will have repercussions, it probably already has, about the use of civilians as human shields.

It’s not just our interests, it’s not just our values that are under attack.  It’s your interests and your values.

Ladies and gentlemen, we live in a world steeped in tyranny and terror, where gays are hanged from cranes in Tehran, political prisoners are executed in Gaza, young girls abducted en masse in Nigeria, and hundreds of thousands are butchered in Syria, Libya, and Iraq.

Yet nearly half, nearly half, of the U.N. Human Rights Council’s resolutions focusing on a single country have been directed against Israel, the one true democracy in the Middle East.  Israel, where issues are openly debated in a boisterous parliament, where human rights are protected by the — by independent courts and where women, gays and minorities live in a genuinely free society.

The human rights — the human — it’s an oxymoron, U.N. Human Rights Council, but I’ll use it just the same.

The council’s biased treatment of Israel is only one manifestation of the return of one of the world’s oldest prejudices. We hear mobs today in Europe call for the gassing of Jews.  We hear some national leaders compare Israel to the Nazis.

This is not a function of Israel’s policies.  It’s a function of diseased minds.  And that disease has a name.  It’s called anti- Semitism.  It is now spreading in polite society, where it masquerades as legitimate criticism of Israel.

For centuries, the Jewish people have been demonized with blood libels, and charges of deicide.  Today, the Jewish state is demonized with the apartheid libel and charges of genocide.  Genocide.

In what moral universe does genocide include warning the enemy’s civilian population to get out of harm’s way or ensuring that they receive tons, tons of humanitarian aid each day, even as thousands of rockets are being fired at us, or setting up a field hospital to aid their wounded.  Well, I suppose it’s the same moral universe where a man who wrote a dissertation of lies about the Holocaust and who insists on a Palestine free of Jews (inaudible) can stand at this podium and shamelessly accuse Israel of genocide and ethnic cleansing.

In the past, outrageous lies against the Jews were the precursors to the wholesale slaughter of our people.  But no more.  Today, we, the Jewish people, have the power to defend ourselves.  We will defend ourselves against our enemies on the battlefield.

(APPLAUSE)

We will expose their lies against us in the court of public opinion.  Israel will continue to stand proud and unbowed.

(APPLAUSE)

Ladies and gentlemen, despite the enormous challenges facing Israel, I believe we have an historic opportunity.  After decades of seeing Israel as their enemy, leading states in the Arab world increasingly recognize that together, we and they face many of the same dangers.  And principally, this means a nuclear-armed Iran and militant Islamist movements gaining ground in the Sunni world.

Our challenge is to transform these common interests to create a productive partnership, one that would build a more secure, peaceful, and prosperous Middle East.

Together, we can strengthen regional security, we can advance projects in water and agriculture, in transportation and health and energy and so many fields.

I believe, the partnership between us can also help facilitate peace between Israel and the Palestinians.  Now, many have long assumed that an Israeli-Palestinian peace can help facilitate a broader rapprochement between Israel and the Arab world.  But these days, I think it may work the other way around.

Namely, a broader rapprochement between Israel and the Arab world may help facilitate an Israeli-Palestinian peace.  And therefore, to achieve that peace, we must look not only to Jerusalem and Ramallah, but also to Cairo, to Amman, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, and elsewhere.

I believe peace could be realized with the active involvement of Arab countries.  Those that are willing to provide political, material, and other indispensable support.  I am ready to make a historic compromise, not because Israel occupies a foreign land.  The people of Israel are not occupiers in the land of Israel.

History, archaeology, and common sense all make clear that we have had a singular attachment to this land for over 3,000 years.  I want peace because I want to create a better future for my people.  But it must be a genuine peace, one that is anchored in mutual recognition and enduring security arrangements, rock solid security arrangements on the ground.

Because you see, Israel withdraws (ph) from Lebanon and Gaza created two militant Islamic enclaves on our borders from which tens of thousands of rockets have been fired at Israel, and these sobering experiences heightens Israel’s security concern regarded potential territorial concessions in the future.

Now those security concerns are even greater today.  Just look around you.  The Middle East is in chaos.  States are disintegrating. And militant Islamists are filling the void. Israel cannot have territories from which it withdraws taken over by Islamic militants yet again, as happened in Gaza and Lebanon.  That would place the likes of ISIS within mortar range, a few miles, of 80 percent of our population.

Now think about that.  The distance between the 1967 lines and the suburbs of Tel Aviv is like the distance between the U.N. building here and Times Square.  Israel’s a tiny country.

That’s why in any peace agreement, which will obviously necessitate a territorial compromise, I will always insist that Israel be able to defend itself, by itself against any threats.

And yet despite everything that has happened, some still don’t take Israel security concerns seriously, but I do and I always will.

(APPLAUSE)

Because as prime minister of Israel, I am entrusted with the awesome responsibility of ensuring the future of the Jewish people and the future of the Jewish state.  And no matter what pressure is brought to bear, I will never waver in fulfilling that responsibility.

(APPLAUSE)

I believe that with a fresh approach from our neighbors, we can advance peace, despite the difficulties we face.  You see in Israel, we have the record of making the impossible, possible. We’ve made a desolate land flourish, and with very few natural resources, we’ve used the fertile minds of our people to turn Israel into a global center of technology and innovation.  And peace, of course, would enable Israel to realize its full potential and to bring a promising future, not only for our people, not only for the Palestinian people, but for many, many others in our region.

But the old template for peace must be updated.  It must take into account new realities and new roles and responsibilities for our Arab neighbors.

Ladies and gentlemen, there is a new Middle East.  It presents new dangers, but also new opportunities. Israel is prepared to work with Arab partners and the international community to confront those dangers and to seize those opportunities.  Together, we must recognize the global threat of militant Islam, the primacy of dismantling Iran’s nuclear weapons capability, and the indispensable role of Arab states in advancing peace with the Palestinians.

All this may fly in the face of conventional wisdom, but it’s the truth.  And the truth must always be spoken, especially here in the United Nations.

(APPLAUSE)

Isaiah, a great prophet of peace, taught us nearly 3,000 years ago in Jerusalem to speak truth to power.  L’mon tzion loykhashe ooleman Yerushalayim loyesh got.  Ad yetze ka noget tzitka vishu atah kelapivi val (ph).

For the sake of Zion, I will not be silent.  For the sake of Jerusalem, I will not be still.  Until our justice shines bright and our salvation glows like a flaming torch.

Ladies and gentlemen, let us light a torch of truth and justice to safeguard our common future.  Thank you.

Forest Service to Require Permits for Photo Shoots – Are They Kidding?

Forest Service to Charge Visitors to Take Pictures

Let me just this straight — our tax dollars are used to maintain federal land and the park service. Now – the Forest Service is going to charge us to take pictures of nature? I just saw a blog post about this and had to check it out — here is more information in case you haven’t heard about this new proposal….

This is a link to the Federal Register post for the latest information — https://www.federalregister.gov/articles/2014/09/04/2014-21093/proposed-directive-for-commercial-filming-in-wilderness-special-uses-administration

Another interesting question is to ask how they will know you took a picture on your cell phone and how will they verify this? Would Forest Service employees be given the right to confiscate and search your phone without a warrant or even probable cause? That’s just the first of many questions that come to mind —-

Seems to me that its way past time to reign in the bloated government that has been getting worse over the last 6 years….

U.S. Forest Service wants to charge $1,500 to take photos on federal wild lands

The U.S. Forest Service is finalizing plans to fine photographers who shoot on federal wild lands without a permit.

Under the measure, still photography and commercial filming in Congress-designated wilderness areas would require a permit, and shoots would also have to be approved and meet certain criteria like not advertising any product or service and being educational.

Forest Service spokesman Larry Chambers said in a statement the directive has been in place for more than four years and “is a good faith effort to ensure the fullest protection of America’s wild places.”

Permits would cost up to $1,500, even if someone was taking photos or video with their phone, and fines for shooting without a permit could be as high as $1,000, according to the Oregonian.

Critics have characterized the rules as too vague and say it infringes on the First Amendment’s free speech clause.

“I am very concerned about the implications this has for Americans’ First Amendment freedoms of speech and the press,” U.S. Rep. Greg Walden (R-Ore.) wrote in a letter to Forest Service Chief Thomas Tidwell. “It is also very troubling that journalists could be held to different standards at the discretion of the issuing officer depending on the content of their stories and its relevance to wilderness activity.”

Walden said he worried access might be granted “based on political calculations” and noted a majority of Oregon land is controlled by the federal government.

U.S. Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) also voiced concern for the policy.

“The Forest Service needs to rethink any policy that subjects noncommercial photographs and recordings to a burdensome permitting process for something as simple as taking a picture with a cell phone,” he told the Oregonian. “Especially where reporters and bloggers are concerned, this policy raises troubling questions about inappropriate government limits on activity clearly protected by the First Amendment.”

The Forest Service is accepting public comment on the measure until Nov. 3.

Political Correctness Could be Even More Devasting for the US

I received this in my email this morning and I’ve done some research. I found it quoted on numerous sites and forums – but cannot find any posts saying if its true or not. So – if you know for sure, either way, feel free to let me know.

Either way – its something to think about

In 732 AD the Muslim Army which was moving on Paris was defeated and turned back at Tours, France, by Charles Martell.

…in 1571 AD the Muslim Army/ Navy was defeated by the Italians and Austrians as they tried to cross the Mediterranean to attack southern Europe in the Battle of Lepanto.

…in 1683 AD the Turkish Muslim Army, attacking Eastern Europe, was finally defeated in the Battle of Vienna by German and Polish Christian Armies.

…this crap has been going on for 1,400 years and half of these damn politicians don’t even know it !!!

…if these battles had not been won we might be speaking Arabic and Christianity could be non – existent;

Judaism certainly would be… And let us not forget that Hitler was an admirer of Islam and that the Mufti of Jerusalem was Hitler’s guest in Berlin and raised Bosnian Muslim SS Divisions: the 13th and 21st Waffen SS Divisions who killed Jews, Russians, Gypsies, and any other “subhuman”.

Reflecting

A lot of Americans have become so insulated from reality that they imagine that America can suffer defeat without any inconvenience to themselves.

Pause a moment, reflect back. These events are actual events from history. They really happened!!!

Do you remember?

1. In 1968, Bobby Kennedy was shot and killed by a Muslim male. This is incorrect, after just a small bit of research I found that Sirhan Sirhan was a Palestinian but he was, according to on-line sources, a Christian.

2. In 1972 at the Munich Olympics, athletes were kidnapped and massacred by Muslim males.

3. In 1972 a Pan Am 747 was hijacked and eventually diverted to Cairo where a fuse was lit on final approach, it was blown up shortly after landing by Muslim males.

4. In 1973 a Pan Am 707 was destroyed in Rome, with 33 people killed, when it was attacked with grenades by Muslim males.

5. In 1979, the US embassy in Iran was taken over by Muslim males.

6. During the 1980’s a number of Americans were kidnapped in Lebanon by Muslim males.

7. In 1983, the US Marine barracks in Beirut was blown up by Muslim males.

8. In 1985, the cruise ship Achille Lauro was hijacked and a 70 year old American passenger was murdered and thrown overboard in his wheelchair by Muslim males.

9. In 1985, TWA flight 847 was hijacked at Athens , and a US Navy diver trying to rescue passengers was murdered by Muslim males.

10. In 1988, Pan Am Flight 103 was bombed by Muslim males.

11. In 1993 , the World Trade Center was bombed the first time by Muslim males.

12. In 1998, the US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania were bombed by Muslim males.

13. On 9/11/01, four airliners were hijacked; two were used as missiles to take down the World Trade Centers and of the remaining two, one crashed into the US Pentagon and the other was diverted and crashed by the passengers. Thousands of people were killed by Muslim males.

14. In 2002, the United States fought a war in Afghanistan against Muslim males.

15. In 2002, reporter Daniel Pearl was kidnapped and beheaded by—you guessed it was a— Muslim male.

16. In 2013, Boston Marathon Bombing 4 Innocent people including a child killed, 264 injured by Muslim males.

No, I really don’t see a pattern here to justify profiling, do you?

So, to ensure we Americans never offend anyone, particularly fanatics’ intent on killing us, airport security screeners will no longer be allowed to profile certain people.

Absolutely No Profiling!

They must conduct random searches of 80-year-old women, little kids, airline pilots with proper identification, secret agents who are members of the President’s security detail, 85-year old, Congressmen with metal hips, and Medal of Honor winner and former Governor Joe Foss, but leave Muslim Males alone lest they be guilty of profiling.

Have the American people completely lost their Minds, or just their Power of Reason???

Presidential Ideology and Polls Must Not Drive Foreign Policy

Am I the only person that is tired of seeing Barack Obama say “I was elected to end the war in Iraq”?

That’s all fine and good – but in 2007 – we didn’t know that ISIS or ISIL would come develop and move on to terrorize the world. No matter why a person feels they were elected or the plans they had for their presidency, world events must be factored into any major decision. That includes foreign policy decisions.

As I catch up on the daily events of the questioning at a Congressional hearing where top administration officials were asked about the president’s “strategy” (and that is using the word very loosely) – I can’t help but think Obama has no concept of how to develop a real strategy to combat a foe.

Well wait – he seems very dedicated to bashing anyone that doesn’t agree with his ideologies. He seems very dedicated to defending Islam – like the statement in his speech last week that “ISIS is not Islamic.” He makes excuses for radical Islam but makes apologies for the United States. But that’s a topic for another post….

Obama makes his statement that he was elected to end the war and frequently bashes George Bush and claims all his problems are “Bush’s fault.”

This comment from The Journal  Editorial Report seems to confirm one of my thoughts that Obama is letting his dislike for Bush and his actions, dictate his decisions. That’s another very stupid and juvenile to handy foreign policy.

Interesting comment from the Journal Editorial Report – “For the last five years, we’ve hit al Qaeda in Yemen with drones. Obama had no problems in Pakistan going after al Qaeda there. He himself has an issue with Iraq, and it’s really all about him. It’s a very solipsistic presidency in that sense. He didn’t want to go into Syria or Iraq because he didn’t want to do what George Bush did. As he said in his speech: “I was elected to end the war in Iraq.” It’s a very juvenile behavior as commander in chief.

Obama’s claims also seem to indicate that George Bush planned to be a wartime president. But let’s look back at Bush’s goals and plans for his first term. Let’s also remember where he was on the morning of September 11, 2001 – when he got the news about the World Trade Center and the attack,…  that’s right, he was at a school focusing on his education goals for his presidency.

File photo of George Bush being notified of September 11th attacks

World events and events in the United States dictated that George Bush would be a war time president and that he would have to make many very tough decisions over the next 7 years. At that moment, he had the choice to cower and blame others OR he could step up and find his way through this new danger that had been forced on him. Thankfully he stepped up and understood the safety of the people he served as their president, was a higher priority than his ideology. Can Barack Obama do the same thing?

I thougth this information might be an interesting refresher on what Governor Bush planned to do when he was campaigning to be president –

As a reminder – here is a list of the things George Bush hoped to focus on during his presidency. This is from a campaign brochure. You can see the full brochure here – http://www.4president.org/brochures/georgewbush2000brochure.htm

I’m running for President because I want to help usher in the responsibility era, where people understand they are responsible for the choice they make and are held accountable for their actions.

As President, I’ll make our schools accountable for results. I’ll encourage our schools to take more responsibility for teaching character to our children so they understand right and wrong and that actions have consequences. I’ll give local school districts more flexibility to spend money where it is needed to improve our children’s education. I’ll strengthen Social Security, guaranteeing government is responsible for the promises it has made America’s seniors and allowing younger American’s to voluntarily invest some of their Social Security taxes in Personal Accounts. I’ll reform Health Care so every family has access to affordable health insurance, and seniors have a choice of plans, including prescription drug coverage. I’ll rebuild our military, giving it the resources it needs to meet its responsibility to keep the peace. I’ll promote a responsible economic agenda to continue our prosperity. I’ll provide tax relief for all Americans, especially those struggling to make it into the middle class.

I will use the Presidency to promote a greater sense of responsibility across this great country. By encouraging communities to be responsible for their citizens and asking individuals to be responsible for their actions, we will renew our country’s spirit. If elected, when I put my hand on the bible, I will swear to not only uphold the law of the land, but also the integrity of the office to which I have been elected.

Signed George W. Bush

Vision to Improve Education.

Governor Bush will fight for fundamental reforms so no child is left behind.

His plan will restore local control, set high standards, give schools flexibility to meet them, measure progress, and insist on results.

Bush will reward successful schools and demand failing schools improve. He will withdraw federal funds from schools that fail to improve after three years and give the money to parents to use to better their children’s education.

Families should be able to have tax-free education savings accounts for tuition or education expenses from kindergarten through college.

Bush will spend $5 billion for early intervention to help every child read by third grade.

He will expand character education in schools to help teach our children there are right and wrong choices in life.

He will make it easier to remove disruptive students, stop junk lawsuits against teachers and strengthen classroom safety.

Clinton/Gore had eight years, but failed. National reading scores stagnated. American students place almost last in international high school math rankings. The achievement gap between poor and non-poor students remains wide.

George W. Bush will provide the leadership to change and improve public education in America.

Quality Heath Care for Every Family.

George W. Bush’s goal is for every American to have access to quality health care. His proposal for tax credits will help working families buy affordable insurance. Bush will increase the number of community health centers to increase access to health services.

Cut Taxes and Make The System Fairer.

The Bush economic plan saves over half the surplus to strengthen Social Security and reduce the national debt, and saves over 10% of the surplus for important priorities like education, national defense and health.

Strengthen Social Security.

Governor Bush believes America has a moral responsibility to save and strengthen Social Security.

A Dangerous World Requires A Strong Military.

George W. Bush believes America’s military is challenged by aging weapons and failed intelligence. He will strengthen our military and rebuild America’s stature in the world.

He will increase military pay $1 billion to raise morale and get military families off food stamps. He will improve military housing and allowances.

He’ll end shortfalls in training, spare parts, and equipment and modernize weapons and equipment.

Bush will defend Americans and our allies against missiles and blackmail by deploying an anti-ballistic missile defense.

He will rebuild our intelligence services.

As President Bush will order an immediate review of overseas deployments: no U.S. troops should be in harm’s way unless America’s interests are at stake, no U.S. troops will ever serve under UN command.

Help Charities And Faith-Based Groups Serve Those In Need.

George W. Bush knows changing a heart can change a life.

So he’ll reform laws and remove regulations that discourage and hamper charities and faith-based groups from delivering social services.

Bush will dedicate $8 billion for new tax incentives to encourage charitable giving.

Saul Alinsky’s Rules – A Reminder Leading Up to the 2014 Mid Term Elections

These are “rules” that the Obama adminstration seem to be following in many of the decisions they have made throughout the last 6 years. Do you want another 2 years of these decisions and this mentality? Keep these rules in mind as we get closer to the mid term elections —

Saul Alinsky’s 12 Rules for Radicals

Here is the complete list from Alinsky.

* RULE 1: “Power is not only what you have, but what the enemy thinks you have.” Power is derived from 2 main sources – money and people. “Have-Nots” must build power from flesh and blood. (These are two things of which there is a plentiful supply. Government and corporations always have a difficult time appealing to people, and usually do so almost exclusively with economic arguments.)

* RULE 2: “Never go outside the expertise of your people.” It results in confusion, fear and retreat. Feeling secure adds to the backbone of anyone. (Organizations under attack wonder why radicals don’t address the “real” issues. This is why. They avoid things with which they have no knowledge.)

* RULE 3: “Whenever possible, go outside the expertise of the enemy.” Look for ways to increase insecurity, anxiety and uncertainty. (This happens all the time. Watch how many organizations under attack are blind-sided by seemingly irrelevant arguments that they are then forced to address.)

* RULE 4: “Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules.” If the rule is that every letter gets a reply, send 30,000 letters. You can kill them with this because no one can possibly obey all of their own rules. (This is a serious rule. The besieged entity’s very credibility and reputation is at stake, because if activists catch it lying or not living up to its commitments, they can continue to chip away at the damage.)

* RULE 5: “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.” There is no defense. It’s irrational. It’s infuriating. It also works as a key pressure point to force the enemy into concessions. (Pretty crude, rude and mean, huh? They want to create anger and fear.)

* RULE 6: “A good tactic is one your people enjoy.” They’ll keep doing it without urging and come back to do more. They’re doing their thing, and will even suggest better ones. (Radical activists, in this sense, are no different that any other human being. We all avoid “un-fun” activities, and but we revel at and enjoy the ones that work and bring results.)

* RULE 7: “A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag.” Don’t become old news. (Even radical activists get bored. So to keep them excited and involved, organizers are constantly coming up with new tactics.)

* RULE 8: “Keep the pressure on. Never let up.” Keep trying new things to keep the opposition off balance. As the opposition masters one approach, hit them from the flank with something new. (Attack, attack, attack from all sides, never giving the reeling organization a chance to rest, regroup, recover and re-strategize.)

* RULE 9: “The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself.” Imagination and ego can dream up many more consequences than any activist. (Perception is reality. Large organizations always prepare a worst-case scenario, something that may be furthest from the activists’ minds. The upshot is that the organization will expend enormous time and energy, creating in its own collective mind the direst of conclusions. The possibilities can easily poison the mind and result in demoralization.)

* RULE 10: “If you push a negative hard enough, it will push through and become a positive.” Violence from the other side can win the public to your side because the public sympathizes with the underdog. (Unions used this tactic. Peaceful [albeit loud] demonstrations during the heyday of unions in the early to mid-20th Century incurred management’s wrath, often in the form of violence that eventually brought public sympathy to their side.)

* RULE 11: “The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative.” Never let the enemy score points because you’re caught without asolution to the problem. (Old saw: If you’re not part of the solution, you’re part of the problem. Activist organizations have an agenda, and their strategy is to hold a place at the table, to be given a forum to wield their power. So, they have to have a compromise solution.)

* RULE 12: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.” Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions. (This is cruel, but very effective. Direct, personalized criticism and ridicule works.)

A Few Words from the Grey Haired Brigade About the 2014 Elections

I got this in my email this evening – and thought out blog readers might enjoy it. Feel free to share….
You and I are Members, Don’t Delete, Just Read and Pass on
The typical U.S. household headed by a person age 65 or older has a net worth 47 times greater than a household headed by someone under 35, according to an analysis of census data released Monday.
They like to refer to us as senior citizens, old fogies, geezers, and in some cases dinosaurs. Some of us are “Baby Boomers” getting ready to retire.
Others have been retired for some time. We walk a little slower these days and our eyes and hearing are not what they once were.  We worked hard, raised our children, worshiped our God and grown old together.  Yes, we  are the ones some refer to as being over the hill, and that is probably true.
But before writing us off completely, there are a few things that need to be taken into consideration.  In school we studied English, history, math, and science which enabled us to lead America into the technological age.  Most of us remember what outhouses were, many of us with firsthand experience. We remember the days of telephone party-lines,  25 cent gasoline, and milk and ice being delivered to our homes.  For those of you who don’t know what an icebox is, today they are electric and referred to as refrigerators.  A few even remember when cars were started with a crank. Yes, we lived those days.
We are probably considered old fashioned and out-dated by many. But there are a few things you need to remember before completely writing us off.  We won World War II, fought in Korea and Viet Nam . We can quote The Pledge of Allegiance, and know where to place our hand while doing so.  We wore the uniform of our country with pride and lost many friends on the battlefield. We didn’t fight for the Socialist States of America; we fought for the “Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave.” We wore different uniforms but carried the same flag.  We know the words to the Star Spangled Banner , America , and America the Beautiful by heart, and you may even see some tears running down our cheeks as we sing. We have lived what many of you have only read in history books and we feel no obligation to apologize to anyone for
America.
Yes, we are old and slow these days but rest assured, we have at least one good fight left in us.  We have loved this country, fought for it, and died for it, and now we are going to save it.  It is our country and nobody is going to take it away from us. We took oaths to defend America against all enemies, foreign and domestic, and that is an oath we plan to keep. There are those who want to destroy this land we love but, like our founders, there is no way we are going to remain silent.
It was mostly the young people of this nation who elected Obama and the DemocraticCongress.  You fell for the “Hope and Change” which in reality was nothing but “Hype and Lies.”   The youngsters have tasted socialism and seen evil face to face, and have found they don’t like it
after all.  They make a lot of noise, but most are all too interested in their careers or “Climbing the Social Ladder” to be involved in such mundane things as patriotism and voting. Many of those who fell for the “Great Lie” in 2008 are now having buyer’s remorse.

With all the education we gave you, you didn’t have sense enough to see through the lies and instead drank the ‘Kool-Aid.’ Now you’re paying the price and complaining about it.  No jobs, lost mortgages, higher taxes, and less freedom.  This is what they voted for and this is what they got. We entrusted them with the Torch of Liberty and they traded it for a paycheck and a fancy house.
Well, don’t worry youngsters, the Grey-Haired Brigade is here, and in 2014 we are going to take back our nation.  We may drive a little slower than you would like but we get where we’re going, and in 2014 we’re going to the polls by the millions. This land does not belong to the man in the White House nor to the likes of Nancy Pelosi,  Harry Reid, and Eric Holder.  It belongs to “We the People” and “We the People” plan to reclaim our land and our freedom.  We hope this time you will do a better job of preserving it and passing it along to our grand-children.
So, the next time you have the chance to say the Pledge of Allegiance, Stand up, put your hand over your heart, honor our country, and thank God for the old geezers of the “Grey-Haired Brigade.”

Can you feel the ground shaking???
It’s not an earthquake, it is a STAMPEDE!
